ORGANIC FRESH FRUIT

We decided that having an integrated fruit farm with a variety of fruit was more important to the sustainability of the farm and jobs than having a mono-crop industrial farm susceptible to pests and disease without the use of chemical pesticides or chemical fertilisers.

OUR Fresh Fruits

We’ve been passionate about growing delicious fruits free of chemical pesticides and promoting sustainable farming that preserves our soil and environment.

From our farm to your door, we nurture our fruit every step of the journey by taking great care in selecting non-GMO naturally bred seeds from delicious varieties of fruit that are suitable to our growing conditions.

Our farming methods aim to produce the healthiest fruits. We have you, the customer, and our community in mind with everything we do.

Tangerines

Tangerines (Citrus reticulata) also known as Mandarin oranges, are smaller and less round than common oranges.  Their taste is sweeter than an orange and it is easier to peel their skin.

Tangerines contain a significant amount of vitamin C followed by amounts of vitamins B1, B5, B6, and A as well as folate and beta-carotene.

During Chinese New Year, tangerines are considered traditional symbols of abundance and good fortune.  During the two-week celebration, they are frequently displayed as decoration and presented as gifts to friends, relatives, and business associates.

Interesting fact:  Tourists to Thailand who enjoy the fresh squeezed “orange juice” served by street vendors are actually drinking tangerine juice.

Indochina Agriculture Processing, Ltd. produces large (citrus noblis) and small (citrus reticulate) varieties of tangerines.

Coconuts

Coconuts (Cocos nucifera) known as the ‘tree of life’ have been around for millions of years and play many roles in our daily life from food products to household items.

The milk, flesh, and oil of coconut have been used as a medicinal food for thousands of years.  More recent medical studies have shown the benefits of coconut’s medium-chain triglycerides (MCT’s) and their role in fighting Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, kidney disease, and cancer.

Indochina Agriculture Processing, Ltd. grows its own coconut trees from seed to ensure the highest quality and consistent supply.  We harvest our own coconuts for processing to utilize the whole nut and ensure nothing goes to waste.

Avocados

Avocado (Persea Americana) is well known as a “Super Food” because this fruit is packed rich with Vitamins B5, B6, Bg, B3, B2, B1, K, E, and Vitamin C, as well as antioxidant, phytosterols, and carotenoids, such as lutein and zeaxanthin which are vital for eye health and reducing cholesterol, triglycerides, and inflammation.

Technically a berry,  Avocados are high in potassium (even higher than bananas), which is important because studies have shown high potassium intake is linked to reduced blood pressure, reduced risk for heart attacks, and lowers risk of stroke.

We chose to produce a derivative cultivar of the “Fuerte” for its suitability to our climate and soil, and we supply the restaurant industry as well as local markets for community consumption.

Areca Nuts

Areca Nut also known as “betel nut”, is the seed of the areca palm (Areca catechu).   Areca nuts are chewed with betel leaf known as “piper betle” (Piperaceae) for their effects as a mild stimulant, breath freshener, and aphrodisiac.  Betel leaf has a fresh, peppery taste, but it can also be bitter to varying degrees depending on the variety.

Though areca nut has been traditionally chewed in many countries from Asia to the Pacific for over 4,000 thousand years, it is also frequently used in customs and rituals for marriage, birth, and religion in countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and India.
