ABOUT Essential Oils
Essential oils are also known as “ethereal oils” are oils from the plants they are extracted from which contain the essence of the plant’s fragrance. Essential oils are often used in aromatherapy, perfume manufacturing, food additives, and scent additives in many other products.
Some essential oils also have properties useful in pesticides and antibacterial products. Our essential oils are extracted by steam distillation from our fresh plants straight from our fields to the production house.
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) essential oil is often used in aromatherapy and by natural medicine practitioners for a variety of purposes, including reducing inflammation, relieving headaches, improving dandruff, and easing indigestion.
Studies indicate that Cymbopogon citratus possesses various pharmacological activities such as anti-amoebic, antibacterial, antidiarrheal, antifilarial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Various other effects like antimalarial, antimutagenicity, antimycobacterial, antioxidants, hypoglycemic, and neuro behavioral have also been studied.
Orange (Citrus sinensis ) essential oil is most familiarly used as a food flavoring agent or an ingredient in certain cleaning supplies.
And though research on effectiveness for health purposes is limited, orange essential oil may also be useful in easing stress and anxiety (when used as aromatherapy) and improving acne (when used topically).
In aromatherapy, orange oil is described as providing various benefits, including the possibility of “reducing stress”, controlling “anxiety”, enabling “relaxation” and “lifting mood.”
Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) essential oil may resemble orange essential oil.
However, tangerine essential oil allegedly has some differing benefits such as reducing: stress-induced insomnia, nervous exhaustion, mild muscular spasm, cellulite, digestive problems, flatulence, constipation, bodily congestion, tiredness, irritability, and anxiousness.
